'Inspiring': Moana Hope hails wife after 'scariest' child birth
Moana Hope has paid a beautiful tribute to her wife Isabella Carlstrom, who gave birth to the couple's first child this week.
The former AFLW star and her model wife welcomed a baby daughter named Svea into the world, with Hope praising her partner for enduring what was a gruelling 14-hour labour period.

Hope revealed that Carlstrom gave birth to their precious bundle of joy without any pain relief medication and hailed her wife's strength and bravery during the "exhausting" natural birth.
Referring to Carlstrom as a "superhero", Hope posted a heartfelt tribute to her wife on Instagram, as well as the first public shot of the gushing new mum with their baby girl.
“I’ve been in love with this woman since the day I met her,” Hope wrote.
“My love for her is one that I didn’t think could get any stronger, and then you gave birth to our child.
“First, let me tell you giving birth is the most amazing, and most beautiful thing a human can do.
“It’s also the most exhausting, painful and scariest thing a human can do.
“Mostly scary for me watching the love of my life in pain and feeling helpless.
“Watching her push through 14 hours of labour was the hardest yet most inspiring thing I’ve ever seen.
“She made me feel like I could do anything, yet she was the one giving birth.
“Giving birth is not looked at or appreciated the way it should be. Women who give birth should be looked at like superhero’s. Bell was our superhero, she did so amazing and I’m beyond proud of her.
“She wanted to attempt a natural birth (no pain relief) and she did it. @isabellasofiacarlstrom you are a rockstar, and Svea already has such a strong, beautiful and resilient Mumma to look up to.
“Thank you for bringing our Queen into this world. How the heck do you look this beautiful after giving birth.
“I would look a mess if I did what you did. I love you forever. Both of you.”
Pair announced baby news in May
The couple announced back in May they were expecting after undergoing IVF Treatment.
Carlstrom shared images on social media of her baby bump and the couple kept their followers up-to-date with the progress of the pregnancy.
However, Hope gave the biggest update on Tuesday evening when she posted a photo of her baby’s hand holding her finger after birth.
“My heart is full,” she wrote.
Hope enjoyed a successful career in the state league before becoming one of the biggest names in AFLW until she deciding to step away from the game after the 2019 season.
She played 13 games for Collingwood across 2017 and 2018, before moving to North Melbourne for the 2019 season.
She kicked a total of 23 goals in 20 career games.
Hope and Carlstrom got married last year.
