Carlstrom shared images on social media of her baby bump and the couple kept their followers up-to-date with the progress of the pregnancy.

However, Hope gave the biggest update on Tuesday evening when she posted a photo of her baby’s hand holding her finger after birth.

“My heart is full,” she wrote.

Hope enjoyed a successful career in the state league before becoming one of the biggest names in AFLW before deciding to step away from the game after the 2019 season.

She played 13 games for Collingwood across 2017 and 2018, before moving to North Melbourne for the 2019 season.

She kicked a total of 23 goals in 20 career games.

Hope and Carlstrom got married last year.

Carlstrom and Hope share pregnancy journey

During lockdown, the pair have offered a glimpse into their lives to their social media followers.

Carlstrom talked about the difficulty of pregnancy and how she overcome the challenges.

“What a whirlwind pregnancy is! I haven’t had the easiest ride so far,” she wrote in August.

“It’s been really hard to adjust to a forever changing body. Whether that’s having boobs bigger than I could have ever imagined, to getting love bumps in all kinds of new place, to literally feeling like an 80 year old women while trying to complete the most simple tasks.

“All that aside I wouldn’t change anything, because it’s all part of the journey that will bring me to you.

“There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you. This morning I was able to look past the struggles and I really fell in love with all the changes that come with being pregnant. So here’s my little celebration. Bring on the home stretch.”
