Ballgirl delights Aus Open crowd with brilliant catch

A young ballgirl momentarily stole the show during Rafael Nadal's fourth round match at the Australian Open when she held onto an awesome catch.

The brilliant moment occurred in the fourth set of Nadal's win over Diego Schwartzman on Sunday, won 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-3 by the World No.1.

Schwartzman was serving at 2-4 when Nadal hit a fault straight back at him.

As you can see in the video above, Schwartzman then tested the ballgirl's catching ability when he lofted the ball up above her head at considerable height.

But the ballgirl stunned Schwartzman and the Rod Laver Arena crowd when she took a perfect catch with two hands, arms outstretched above her head in textbook fashion.

The crowd immediately roared with delight as the young girl broke out into a massive smile.

It certainly has been an eventful Australian Open for the ball kids.
