Nick Kyrgios calls out Rafa Nadal again after booze-fuelled chat

Nick Kyrgios is refusing to be disheartened by Rafael Nadal's polite pass on the Aussie's Instagram live invitation.

Despite the history of bad blood between the pair, Kyrgios seems intent on burying the hatchet (or perhaps getting the frustration off his chest) with Nadal.

The Aussie originally called Nadal out after the BBC asked for suggestions as to the most sought-after Facetimes - prompting a quick response from Kyrgios.

"Rafa lets do Instagram live together. I am down with it. Rafael Nadal let's do it," the Aussie wrote on Instagram.

The Aussie's initial invitation was politely knocked back by Nadal, who suggested Kyrgios would be better engaging with someone closer to his own age.

However, it hasn't stopped the 25-year-old Aussie from having another crack - this time extending the offer to the other members of the Big Three of men's tennis - Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

Posting to his Twitter account, Kyrgios asked whether Nadal, Djokovic or Federer would be interested in an "open and honest" one-on-one session with him on social media.

Aussie entertains fans with booze-filled Murray chat

Kyrgios’ latest offer comes after a boozy chat with good friend and rival Andy Murray over the weekend.

The Aussie lambasted some of tennis' biggest names in a wildly entertaining Instagram Live chat between the pair.

It was the middle of the day for Murray at his home base in England but early on Sunday morning for Kyrgios, who admitted that he’d had a few glasses of red wine before the 30-minute chat.

Murray, the former world No.1 and three-time grand slam winner, has been a staunch defender of the mercurial Aussie, who has managed to enthral and enrage the tennis community in equal measure since his break out season in 2014.

In a conversation dominated largely by the Australian, Murray asked him how many glasses of wine he'd drunk.

“About as many games as you gave me at Wimbledon that year, about six,” Kyrgios responded, in reference to Murray's comfortable win over him in round of 16 at the All England four years ago.

Murray then asked Kyrgios why he got more excited playing in team events like the Laver Cup than for grand slams, cueing up the big-serving 24-year-old for a rant about players on the ATP Tour.

“It's because it's fun man,” he said.

“I am there with my best buds, trying to beat some European guys who have no banter, don't give one-eff about each other and act like they care for one week which p*sses me off.

“Let's be honest, (Stefanos) Tsitsipas and (Alexander) Zverev hate each other, then they are besties all of a sudden...p*ss off.

“Someone like (Dominic) Thiem ... I mean I like to get good vibes from trying a new cocktail ... he'd prefer to watch paint dry.

Kyrgios also left Murray rather sheepish after claiming that the Scot was a better player than Djokovic, despite the Serb's 17 grand slam titles suggesting otherwise.

The Aussie has also endured a rocky relationship with Djokovic, once describing the Serb's post-match ‘cup of love’ celebrations as “cringeworthy”.

Kyrgios also famously stated that Djokovic had a “sick obsession with wanting to be liked”.
