After receiving his 20th gold medal Michael Phelps shared this touching moment with his three-month old son Boomer.

Athletes are swiping right like crazy, with Tinder matches in the Olympic Village reportedly increasing by 129% over the weekend.

Aussie Madeline Groves is through to 200m butterfly final.

11:30am: Phelps claims 20th gold!
Michael Phelps has done it again, with the American legend sprinting home to take out the 200m butterfly.

11:20am: Emma McKeon wins bronze
Emma McKeon takes home a bronze medal behind American Katie Ledecky and Sarah Sjöström in the women's 200m freestyle. Fellow Aussie Bronte Barratt finished in a tie for equal fifth.

11:10am: McEvoy races into 100m freestyle final


10:50am: Kookaburras falter again
The Aussie men succumb to their second straight loss going down 1-0 to Belgium in their Group A clash. It's their first defeat against Belgium in four years!

Sonny Bill Williams will miss the All Blacks' entire Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup series after being ruled out for up to nine months with an Achilles injury.

10:00am: US gymnastics put in flawless performance
Simone Biles got her bid for a record five gold medals at the Rio Olympics off to a flying start as the United States women coasted to a team gymnastics title defence.

9:40am: Aussie Sevens star hits back at critics
Australia's rugby sevens star Charlotte Caslick suggested hockey coach Ric Charlesworth try playing the sport after labeling the Olympic women's competition a "soft event".

9:15am: Serena sent packing
The upsets keep coming in the tennis, with defending champion Serena Williams knocked out in straight sets by Ukraine's Elina Svitolina.

8:50am: Lewis into round of 16.
Aussie boxer Daniel Lewis wins his debut Olympic fight, beating Poland's Tomasz Jablonski in the men’s middleweight (75kg).

A strong second and third round propelled Lewis to victory, eventually progressing via split decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 29-28.

8:45am: 50 Shades of Green
Plenty of eyebrows raised as divers arrive at the Rio pool to find the water turned green, after it was crystal blue less than 24 hours earlier.

8:30am: Penny Taylor destroys France
The Aussie captain bounced back with a monster 31-point game to lead the Opals to a crucial win over France.

8:05am: Sam Stosur knocked out
The last remaining Aussie in the singles is out after a straight sets loss to German Angelique Kerber.

8:00am: Mack the new king of Instagram
Mack Horton has gained 30,000 new Instagram followers after issuing a call to arms against drug cheats in the wake of his 400m freestyle gold medal triumph.
