'Yeah... nah': Hilarious reactions to Australia's top chips
If you were shocked, outraged, or potentially completely unsurprised, by the announcement of which flavour chips are apparently the favourite among Aussies, you definitely weren’t alone.
It’s been dubbed the ‘Great Chip Survey of 2019’. Conducted by News.com.au, 56 flavours of chips currently available at major retailers were tested by participants.
But the results have caused quite a reaction on social media, with many people calling the results “outrageous”, “un-Australian” and “obviously wrong”.
Coming in at number one were Original Smith’s, followed by Cheese Twisties and then Smith’s Salt and Vinegar.
“Yeah... nah, what is actually Australia's best chip?” one person asked.
Marc Fennell from SBS’ The Feed added: “Seriously Australia. Sort your sh** out.”
“Wrong. Obviously,” was another’s simple reaction.

Some did agree with the result.
“Smith’s original... all other chips are inedible garbage,” one person Tweeted.

Others just decided to make up their own lists instead.
But never fear, the ‘comprehensive survey’ spoke to a mere 50 Aussies to determine this result. So perhaps there is hope yet.
