NRL star Josh Reynolds has fired back at Arabella Del Busso after his former girlfriend downplayed her pregnancy lies on reality TV.

The former WAG was a controversial inclusion on Channel 7's SAS Australia and the Meelbourne-based model proved why on the second episode of the show.

Del Busso's tumultuous former relationship with the veteran Wests Tigers playmaker has been highly publicised, with Reynolds claiming she faked three pregnancies during their time together.

She also levelled domestic violence allegations against the footy star, which have since been dropped.

In an interview with 60 Minutes in June, Del Busso - real name Donna Preusker - admitted to sending Reynolds a fake ultrasound but denied faking the pregnancies.

When quizzed on the reality show about the lies that she's been called out over, the 30-year-old suggested they weren't as serious as the media has made out.

“I have told a lie but the way that I see it a little white lie here or there is not going to hurt anyone,” Del Busso said.

“I’m sure we all do it, I’m honestly not the only person in the whole of Australia that has told a little white lie here or there.

“People will judge me no matter what but they haven’t lived my life, they don’t know the extent of things that I’ve been through.”

Responding to the comments on Instagram, Reynolds posted: "White lies are sweet, right?"

The footy star's rhetorical question was accompanied by a questioning-face and a baby emoji.

Reynolds has previously gone into detail about the hurt that his former girlfriend's lies have caused him, during an emotional interview on 60 Minutes.

Ugly saga ‘broke’ NRL star

“Is faking pregnancies normal? Is faking your mum's death normal? Making me go through all that. Is it? I would love an answer from her,” he said on the Channel Nine program.

“It broke me, literally. I was so into this whole relationship and baby thing that I was hurting so much."

Del Busso's comments came after she was interrogated on the second episode of SAS Australia by ex-special servicemen Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham and Ollie Ollerton.

The 30-year-old has admitted to faking an ultrasound to try and "draw him (Reynolds) back in" after sensing the relationship was coming to an end.

However, she once again seemed to deny that she'd faked actual pregnancies, with Reynolds originally of the belief that she'd suffered three seperate miscarriages.

“My ex-partner was an NRL player and obviously we separated late last year, but now since then I’ve faced scrutiny in the tabloids,” she said during the interrogation.

“(The media says) that I’m a liar, (however) not everything I’ve lied about is what the media is saying.

“I told my partner (Reynolds) that I had a pregnancy scan and I showed it to him and said it was ours when in fact it wasn’t our scan at all.

“Our relationship was coming to an end and I didn’t know how to deal with losing someone because I feel like I’ve lost family members and stuff (before).

“(I was doing it) to try to draw him back in.”
