NRL boss blasts Bulldogs over Mad Monday 'embarrassment'
A furious Todd Greenberg has slammed the Bulldogs, saying pictures that emerged of the club’s Mad Monday antics have “let down the game”.
The NRL and the Bulldogs have launched an investigation after News Corp Australia pictures showed players nude, vomiting on the street and passed out during their end-of-season drinks at a Sydney hotel on Monday night.
Sydney police say they have not received an official complaint about the players but are investigating the hotel over possible alcohol licensing breaches.
An unhappy Greenberg would not speculate on sanctions but has made it clear the Bulldogs will be punished after briefing clubs about Mad Monday etiquette recently.

He says the NRL will announce the punishment after receiving the Bulldogs’ Mad Monday report on Wednesday.
“There’s no doubt we will take some action,” Greenberg said.
“We will make some determinations quickly on the back of that (Bulldogs report) and then I want to start talking about the finals series.
“I am terribly disappointed to even be talking about this today.”

Greenberg says the Bulldogs’ behaviour have given the game a black eye before the NRL finals kick off with Friday night’s Melbourne-South Sydney qualifying clash.
“We had a detailed discussion …with the eight clubs that weren’t playing finals so the expectations were very, very clear and the Bulldogs have let down the game today,” he said.
“I have no problem with people celebrating the end of their season as long as they do it respectfully – on this occasion they have made some poor choices.
“That ultimately gives the game a black eye.
“It’s embarrassing for the players first of all, it’s embarrassing for their club and it’s embarrassing for the game.”
Greenberg was left shaking his head over the pictures, describing the players’ behaviour as “idiotic”.
The Bulldogs began their Mad Monday celebrations after missing out on the NRL finals starting this week, finishing 12th.
The Bulldogs made a $30,000 charity contribution after players were recorded making sexist remarks to a female journalist during their 2012 Mad Monday drinks.
