Bulldogs star hits out at Mad Monday coverage in deleted post
Departing Bulldogs star Josh Morris has hit out at media coverage of his team’s raucous Mad Monday celebration in a since deleted social media post.
The soon-to-be Cronulla Shark shared a split picture of Prince William, one which shows him holding up three fingers, and another from the side which makes it seem like he’s holding out his rude finger.
Morris captioned the image with the message, “Perception vs reality #telecrap”.
Morris quickly deleted the post after it gained a huge amount of traction, most probably as a result of a directive from the Bulldogs, who at the same time were accepting full responsibility for the drama surrounding the Mad Monday celebrations gone wrong.
The Bulldogs released a statement on Tuesday saying the behaviour of players on Mad Monday was “unacceptable”.
“In regard to images from the team’s get together on Monday, the club accepts that they were unacceptable and a poor reflection on the individuals involved and the club,” the statement read.
POLICE INVOLVED: Cops investigate Bulldogs Mad Monday mess
“The players are aware of their responsibilities and the standards required when representing the club and yesterday’s behaviour was unacceptable and a bad look for the game.
“The club will now work with all relevant stakeholders to gather information and fully review what took place yesterday.
“The club is also working closely with the NRL in regard to determining the next steps in this review.”
Most Bulldogs fans responded to the statement by arguing the club should be standing up for the players, rather than condemning them in the face of public scrutiny.

Do not take action against the players! They were letting their hair down after a tough season, caused by mismanagement and poor choices in the office! Stop trying to applease the “offended on othersbehalf brigade”
