Watching your loved one lose a match is never fun, but for one NFL WAG that disappointment turned to anger in an explosive fallout to the match.

The New York Giants went down to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-25 in an NFL nail biter on Monday, with Elise Tate letting loose on the team in a fiery Instagram rant.

The wife of Giants' wide receiver Golden Tate was furious with the lack of football her husband saw in the team's latest loss.

So the 32-year-old did what any faithful partner would do and launched a stinging 330-word critique on her Instagram page.

As her husband was playing, Tate was posting multiple rants lamenting his lack of usage and demanding the Giants make him a priority in the passing game. Tate, the player, finished the game with two catches on three targets for 31 yards and a highlight-reel touchdown.

Elise Tate didn't mention quarterback Daniel Jones, the man tasked with getting her husband the ball, but it’s clear she’s unhappy with some level of the Giants’ leadership.

"HE NEEDS TO BE FED THE BALL,” Elise wrote in all-caps. “Period. Watch the film. He always comes down with the ball.

"Honestly, he was open the entire game!!!

"I want an entire replay of that game with the announcers just pointing out these massive freaking (hands emoji) … I’m wide freaking open.”

With an Instagram following of more than 55,000 people, the WAG absolutely unloaded on the Giants' team, demanding they watch a replay of the match and insisting that it was "excruciating" to see her husband denied the football on so many occasions.

"I do not normally say stuff like this on Instagram but this was crazy insane wide open all game,” she wrote. “Just gut wrenching to watch as a wife.

"Literally someone please replay that game with commentary and just put big circles around the wide openness of Showtime who always makes it happen when thrown his way.

"I’m lit. Eleven years in the NFL I’ve never said something like this online, but it’s excruciating to watch and killing his stats this year but you can’t have yards on a few-to-no targets."

Elise admitted that her husband would not approve of her letting out her frustration in such a public manner, but continued the tirade nonetheless.

"Golden is always a team player and wouldn’t ever say this. I can’t watch such a playmaker be under utilised," she added.

WAG’s furious post later taken down

Tate predicted that her husband would make her take the post down when he found out, but still managed to vent some more after his touchdown for the Giants.

"He's gonna kill me for saying all this so I'll prob have to delete this soon so until he sees it ... and his teamplayer self, gonna make me take this down. But no. fans watch games as a whole.

“I watch ONE player, no offense to anyone he's my husband, but it's excruciating to follow around 15 on the screen and see him WIDE OPEN ALL GAME, then given a chance in the fourth quarter comes down with the big TD and that wasn't any miraculous catch Compared to his crazy highlight reels. that was just normal.

Tate followed that post up with another rant reiterating her point:

"After he scores he looked in the camera and said “THROW ME THE BALL”

"Year 11 he knows what he doing! HES HEALTHY! And every damn time he gets an opportunity it’s a big play. Ain’t no way this BS gonna hurt his stats this yr bc he doesn’t get targets. FEED HIM THE BALL.

As predicted, the post was later taken down.

Seven games into the Giants’ season, Golden Tate has only 226 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His 29 targets put him on track for his lowest total since his second year in the league, though his 7.8 yards per target doesn’t quite make him an efficient player with low volume.

Overall, the 32-year-old Tate has not seen the same success he saw with the Detroit Lions in his tenure with the Giants. The team signed him to a four-year, $37.5 million deal before last season in the wake of the Odell Beckham Jr. trade.

Tate began his tenure with a four-game suspension for a performance-enhancing drug violation he claimed was caused by fertility drugs, and has also missed games due to a concussion and hamstring injury. In the 18 games he has played with the Giants, Tate has posted 902 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
