Former NFL cornerback Brendan Langley has found himself in hot water after getting into a physical altercation with a United Airlines employee at an airport.

In bizarre footage circulating online, the man identified as former Denver Broncos cornerback Langley appears to square up with the employee.

The pair appear to trade slaps, before Langley asks "You saw that s**t?" to someone watching.

Langley then delivers a right hand that sends the employee sprawling.

The employee works his way back to his feet and again squares up to Langley.

"You want some more?" Langley can be heard yelling.

A spectator could be heard yelling "stop" throughout the ordeal.

However, as the pair trade words another man appears to intervene and stop the altercation.

The video has been viewed more than 14 million times on Twitter.

Footage circulating doesn't appear to show clearly who threw the first hit and there is no clarification over what sparked the heated brawl.

However, reports suggest the brawl started over Langley's use of a wheelchair to carry his luggage.

Langley currently plays for the Calgary Stampeders in Canada.

Langley was arrested and charged with simple assault following the alteration.

The airline employee was not arrested for his role in the brawl.

However, the airline said they would investigate the incident as they don't condone violence of any type.

"United Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or on board our planes and we are working with local authorities in their investigation of this matter," it read.

"United Ground Express informed us that the employee has been terminated."

Following the incident, the Stampeders released a statement.

The Calgary Stampeders football club is aware of the reports concerning Brendan Langley.

The team is currently looking into the matter in order to learn the full details and will have no further comment until the investigation is complete.

Langley was a third-round pick for the Denver Broncos in 2017.

However, he only featured in 16 games and mostly for the special team.
