NBA 2021: Best bets for all the biggest games on Wednesday

Not the greatest day on Monday, going 2-3, but it’s time to right the ship here today.

Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks

My projections have this game coming out a lot closer than I would’ve expected, but I am not convinced the Pistons can keep it that close, despite Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Jrue Holiday being out.

Instead, I am more drawn toward the total, which sits at 212.5 at Sportsbet.

The Bucks have gone under in four straight, but I do think they can get it done here against Detroit.

I also would add in the Bucks straight up as those odds are solid given the team talent disparity.

Miami Heat @ Dallas Mavericks

Dallas against good teams have been a disaster so far, but I don’t know if that is a trend that continues.

Meanwhile, Miami have been excellent, but at some points those opposing trends will cease to continue and I think it is this game.

Dallas is a sneaky chance at the upset, but Ladbrokes has the Mavs +2.5 line juiced to $1.94 and that is where my interest lies.

Best bet: Handicap betting - Mavs +2.5

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns

Deandre Ayton hurt his leg last game and is questionable to play here while New Orleans is without Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.

The Pels have been terrible, but Phoenix isn’t overly impressive so far either.

It’s a huge spread of 11.5 in the Suns favour and I’m always a little uneasy with lines that big especially when a team isn’t in high gear.

The Suns haven’t won by more than 10 points this year and the Pelicans last five games have been decided by fewer than 10 points.

I think the Pelicans cover. But, I also think there is some value in Jonas Valančiūnas’ lines.

At TAB, you can get him going over 33.5 points/rebounds/assists for $1.95 and I think he does it.

Best bet: Player stats - Valančiūnas over 33.5 PRA

Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Lakers

The last time these two met, it was ugly for Houston and I don’t expect them to get close, but I do like the game total which is set at 218.5 at TAB.

I think these teams can go over that.
