MMA powerhouse slams his way out of submission
Bellator welterweight Joaquin Buckley had a powerful method for escaping a submission attempt from rival Vinicius De Jesus.
The powerful striker had his head locked by the legs of his opponent late in the third round of his fight, but rather than going to the mat and attempting to free himself, he rose from the ground and slammed his opponent.
He was then easily able to break free from De Jesus' grip, with only seconds remaining in the fight.
Thanks to that powerful and intelligent move, Buckley held on for a points decision victory over his rival.
