An ugly taunt from a member of Jake Paul's entourage sparked mayhem at the final media face-off between YouTuber Jake Paul and MMA star Tyron Woodley.

Paul is set to enter the ring with the 39-year-old retired MMA star in the biggest test of his boxing acumen yet.

While fans are torn on who will come out on top in this highly-anticipated bout - thus the intrigue on whether Paul can live up to his own hype - the tension between the pair is evident.

Woodley hasn't taken a step backwards yet during Paul's antics in the lead up to the bout on Monday, but one sledge from his entourage pushed him to his limits.

Following the face-off with Paul, a member of the YouTuber's team appeared to try and get under Woodley's skin with a taunt apparently directed towards his mother.

This prompted Woodley to head towards the culprit and attempt to get in his face.

However, a large scuffle broke out as security intervened.

“You talking to my mum, bro?” Woodley said during the scuffle, before he said Woodley said he would “f***ing sleep you right now”.

Paul then jumped in and said: “Do it then. Do it then, b***h".

Tyron Woodley addresses Jake Paul incident

Woodley said Paul's team crossed the line after the incident settled down.

"One thing I don't do is disrespect," Woodley told ESPN.

"And when disrespect comes to my mother, it's a whole issue, f**k this money, f**k this bag, f**k this pap-per view, f**k the fight. When it comes to that, it will not be tolerated."

Paul also told the publication he didn't need to apology, despite not liking how it went down.

"I'm sitting here talking about how much I love my mom, how much I love my girlfriend," Paul said, according to ESPN.

"Then of course Tyron's mom gets into an altercation. I just wish it was something else. If it was something else, I'd be like, 'Great we sold more pay-per-views.' On this day, with how it went down, I just didn't like it.

"This is the fight business. This is part of it. Sometimes I think we forget that. While I am upset, it's like yeah, this isn't soccer where everyone is kind and respectful.

We're trying to take each other's heads off, literally. This is a dangerous sport. So it is a reminder going into Sunday that you've got to protect yourself at all times."

Earlier, the outspoken Paul made his presence felt at the media event, arriving with no shirt on and plenty of jewellery to match.

Regardless, the combat world remains divided on who is winning this fight.
