Lucky fan gets 'second date' with Bouchard

Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard is a woman of her word, spending more time with the random fan who scored a date with her on social media.

American marketing student John Goehrke, 20, went viral earlier this year when he somehow managed to persuade Bouchard to go on a date with him while they were separately watching the Super Bowl in February.

With the Atlanta Falcons leading the New England Patriots 21-3 late in the game, Bouchard wanted to let everyone know she predicted a Falcons victory.

But the game wasn't over, and Goehrke thought he'd try and turn the cocky tweet in his favour, replying 'If Patriots win we go on a date?'

Incredibly, Bouchard agreed, and the Patriots went on to pull off the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history for a remarkable win.

Bouchard then followed through with her promise and the pair attended an NBA game together, sending fans into a frenzy.

What's more, Bouchard even said she'd be open to a second date!

"It's fun and I'm going to follow through with it, because I want to honour my word," the 22-year-old said at the time.

"I'll fly him out (to a tournament), but besides that he has to be the gentleman and, you know, organise a fun date night."

All had been quiet for Goehrke until Thursday, when he showed up on Bouchard's Instagram feed.

‪"Look who came to visit me!," Bouchard captioned the pic, alongside a 'kissing' emoji.

While it doesn't exactly look like a 'second date' as such, the fact that Goehrke continues to score time with the tennis superstar is nothing short of awesome.

Bouchard is believed to be dating NHL star Jordan Carron, but Goehrke is still hanging around isn't he?

Goehrke previously described the moment he met the tennis ace to Fox Sports US.

"She came down (from the hotel) and we met, I gave her a hug and said hi and gave the gift I had brought and then we walked out to the car and left for the game," he said.

Asked what the gift was, Goehrke replied: "Tiffany earrings."

"They had 'Tiffany New York' on them which I thought was a cool touch because we had our date in New York."

Well played sir.
