Perry's second brilliant gesture for injured fan
Details have emerged of another incredible gesture from Ellyse Perry to a young boy she hit in the face with a six at North Sydney Oval.
The Aussie cricket star drew a raft of praise on Saturday when she stopped play to check on the injured fan while playing for the Sydney Sixers in the WBBL.

The champion all-rounder finished unbeaten on 91 from 49 balls in the Sixers' opening match against Melbourne Stars, however a six that she struck in the final over hit a young boy in the face.
As you can see in the video above, a concerned Perry stopped play in the middle of the over and immediately rushed to check on the boy's health, calling for medical assistance.
Paramedics were called and he was transported to nearby Royal North Shore Hospital, but was released later on Saturday night.
The youngster was reportedly resting at home on Sunday, and even received a phone call from a still-concerned Perry.
“It’s never nice to see someone get hit in the head, particularly with a cricket ball,” Perry said on Saturday night.
“I was really concerned because it hit him pretty hard. I really hope he’s OK.
“He seemed like a real tough cookie and his parents and all the medical staff were around him looking after him, but obviously it’s never nice to see.
“I just caught sight of it sort of land and hit the concrete and kick up at him and hit him straight in the face.
“Your immediate reaction is to just go and make sure he’s ok.”
Perry's actions were reminiscent of a similar incident involving Rafael Nadal last year.
The Spanish tennis star brought play to a halt while serving in an exhibition match so a distraught mother could find her lost child.
Fans immediately took to social media to praise Perry for her actions.
