With spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav bowling in tandem, Harris decided to ditch his helmet and bat in the baggy green.

It was a throwback look to yesteryear, rarely seen in today’s game.

And fans absolutely loved it.

Harris benefits from stunning act of sportsmanship

His innings very-nearly ended on 24 when he attempted to take Jadeja down the ground.

KL Rahul dived for a low catch early on day three, with teammates going up in celebration.

However Rahul immediately signalled that it had bounced before going into his hands.

He easily could have claimed the catch or said he wasn’t sure and let the third umpire decide, but his stunning admission won over fans.

The SCG faithful gave him a huge round of applause, with umpire Ian Gould joining in.

“Rahul, outstanding mate, well done,” Gould said, giving the India star a thumbs up.
