Floyd Mayweather may be one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all-time, but an old video sweeping the internet has resurfaced of the fighter being ignored by fans.

The undefeated star was in the UK back in 2017 ahead of his famous cross-over bout with UFC star Conor McGregor.

And in footage, which has trended over the last few days, the boxer was greeting fans next to British heavyweight Anthony Joshua at a media opportunity.

But, in what would be uncommon for the US star, British fans were clearly not aware of who the undefeated boxer was.

In the video, which resurfaced on Tik Tok and has gathered plenty of comments, Mayweather is seen reaching out to shake the hands and greet multiple fans.

But many breeze past him to greet Joshua.

Joshua showed his class and could be seen grabbing Mayweather and pulling him into many of the photos.

Fans took to social media and couldn't believe the actions of the 'fans' who had snubbed one of the most famous boxers and sport stars in the world.

Since that footage and a bout with McGregor, Mayweather has offered to train Joshua after the British heavyweight lost to Oleksandr Usyk last year.

Floyd Mayweather's last boxing venture

Mayweather's last bout was an exhibition against Youtube star Logan Paul and there was some backlash to the spectacle.

In a bizarre Miami bout labelled "disgusting" and a "disgrace" by many viewers, the eight-round contest ground to a sad anti-climax with no winner declared due to the absence of ringside judges.

Viewers were stunned that a man with little boxing experience was able to withstand eight rounds against a fighter regarded by many as the greatest the sport has ever seen.

However, a shocking image taken after the fights shows the damning reality of a farcical contest that saw both men make millions - with Mayweather reportedly pocketing more than $130 million for the bout.
