Beauty in Black: Tyler Perry’s First Netflix Series Finds Its Leading Ladies — See Full Cast

Tyler Perry’s forthcoming Netflix series Beauty in Black has found its central cast members — and several of them have already paid a visit to the Perry-verse.

Beauty in Black, which will span 16 hour-long episodes in its first season, centers on two women leading very different lives: While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, Mallory is running a successful business, and the two find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.

The following 16 actors have also joined the series: Amber Reign Smith (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) as Rain; Ricco Ross (P-Valley) as Horace; Debbi Morgan (All My Children) as Olivia; Richard Lawson (All My Children) as Norman; Steven G. Norfleet (Perry’s Ruthless) as Charles; Julian Horton (Perry’s Bruh) as Roy; Terrell Carter (Empire) as Varney; Shannon Wallace (City on a Hill) as Calvin; Bryan Tanaka (Entourage) as Officer Alex; Joy Rovaris (The Neighborhood) as Gillian; Charles Malik Whitfield (Perry’s If Loving You Is Wrong) as Jules; Tamera Kissen (Real Husbands of Hollywood) as Body; Ursula O. Robinson (Hightown) as Delinda; Ashley Versher (#LoveMyRoomie) as Lena; George Middlebrook as Officer Trackson; and Xavier Smalls as Angel.

Perry will write, direct and produce Beauty in Black, which will be the first TV series to come out of his creative partnership with Netflix, a multi-year deal that began in October 2023 and has thus far only included films. A premiere date for Beauty in Black is TBD.
