AFL star's beautiful news 18 months after devastating tragedy

Gary Rohan and wife Amie have announced they’re expecting their third child.

Amie had a noticeable bump at Geelong’s best and fairest night on Thursday, and they’ve since taken to Instagram to confirm the news.

“Baby Rohan no. 3 due April 2020,” Aimee wrote.

The beautiful news comes about 18 months after Aimee and Gary lost one of their twin girls.

About 11 weeks into Aimee’s pregnancy with Bella and Willow they found out Willow would not survive.

Willow suffered from a neural tube defect and passed away five hours after being born on April 12, 2018.

Gary’s heartbreaking tribute

“The most perfect little souls we have ever laid eyes on, we feel so truly blessed to be your parents,” Gary wrote at the time.

“Amie, Bella and I soaked up every second we had with Willow, making as many lasting memories as we could all together.

It’s those little moments we know we will never get back, and we will forever cherish the time we spent as our little family of four, before our darling Willow grew her little angel wings.”

Aimee opened up about the decision to carry Willow to term last year.

“We sat down and said, ‘This journey has been written for us. Let’s continue on it’,” she told Harper’s Bizaar.

“We had about five hours with Willow before she passed.

“In those five hours, I learnt so much about life and how precious it is. Even though her time here was so fleeting, she was a very amazing girl.”
