Brodie is the daughter Jes Bowen who has a strong following for her workouts and company Militia Fitness.
While the incredible feat has been met with surprise, others on social media have questioned whether the workout is healthy at such a young age.
“Um … is this even safe for her at that age?” Aussie golfer Karl Vilips wrote.
“Wow but is that healthy?” one social media user asked.
“This is so stupid, we shouldn’t praise this. He ruining her body at a very young age,” another wrote.
“Too much weight. Gonna be detrimental long term,” another wrote.
But one user said the practice wasn’t unsafe: “The amount of people that still believe lifting at a young age stunts your growth is alarming. As long as it’s done progressively and done with correct form, it’s safe.”
Despite many comments suggesting dead-lifting would stunt her growth, many also praised the feat.
“She's lifting her own body weight,” one user wrote in amazement.
Jes Bowen has posted videos of her daughter working out for some time.
A recent video showed Brodie getting help from her brother during a workout.
“My heart melts when they workout together,” she wrote.
“Easy 55lb Front Squat for little Bro. Can’t believe she’s only 6 and can Squat this with ease‼️ .”
