WWE legend suffers serious injury in stunt gone wrong

Wrestling superstar Triple H will have to undergo surgery after a stunt went horribly wrong during the WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

Triple H, 49, is no stranger to spectacular stunts but things didn’t go to plan for the renowned wrestling legend at the controversial event.

Pairing up with Shawn Michaels to form the tag-team duo D-Generation X, the pair were squaring off against the Brothers of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker.

The Game, as he is also known in the wrestling world, went hurtling over the top of the ropes during the fight.

However, he looked to be in obvious pain and took a long time to get back up off his feet as he lay languishing on his haunches outside the ring.

Incredibly though, The Game returned to the ring, fought on through the pain and remarkably helped spearhead a win for D-Generation X.

The World Wrestling Entertainment provided an update on the injury to Triple H after the event.

“During the epic showdown between D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel, Triple H sustained what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle,” the WWE released in a statement.

“As a result, The Game plans to return to the United States this week to undergo surgical repair.”

The injury news throws a spanner in the works for the WWE and The Game’s potential return for the next Wrestlemania.
