WrestleMania 36

Yahoo Sports' Liz Loza and Mike Osegueda give their pick for Wrestle mania.

Video transcript

LIZA LOZA: All right, who wins the WWE championship? Brock Lesnar or Drew McIntrye. Now, McIntyre did win the Royal Rumble and slowed Lesnar's his role but, everybody loves a comeback. And who better to give that to the people than a former defensive tackle who played for the Vikings and wore number 69? Nice, Lesnar.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: Oh, Liz. I'm going to Drew McIntyre on this. I think he's been getting a big push right now. I think wrestling needs new faces, new voices. Brock Lesnar is old. Drew McIntyre is what's happening. He's the man. Who's next? Who wins the Universal Championship? I'm going with Goldberg here, Liz. This was supposed to be the match that Roman Reigns was in. I feel like WWE is just going to put that on hold. They're going to let Goldberg win, and they're going to set up their Goldberg Roman Reigns thing when the time is right.

LIZA LOZA: I totally agree with you. If J Lo has taught us anything, it's that 50 is the new 35. So I am, too, going to go with Goldberg even though he would was concussed less than a year ago by the Undertaker, but I like all your reasoning. The old guy for the win. How long will the Universal Championship last? I am going to say over five minutes because you can't just give it to Goldberg right away. You gotta let the people think like Strowman, or whoever is replacing Roman Reigns, has a shot. So I'm gonna say over.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: I'm going under, Liz. I think this is what a Goldberg does. Goldberg, back when he was even young Goldberg, would come out and win the match real quick. And I think that's what's going to happen here. The question is, we're going to get the age old-- you know, if Goldberg spears somebody in 30 seconds into a match and nobody was there to see it, did it actually happen? And the answer is yes.

Who will be the last man standing? Edge and Randy Orton I think is going to be a great match. Liz, I'm going with Edge because I think he's a feel good story. He came back from all these injuries, left the company, is back, is on a roll. They're not going to do all that just to have him lose at WrestleMania. He's going to be the last man standing. Edge

LIZA LOZA: Listen, you do not RKO someone's wife even if it is your finishing move. So give me the Edge and some revenge. All right, who wins? John Cena or the Fiend Bray Wyatt. Listen, I'm expecting an upset here. John "Pretty Boy" Cena should have known better than to taunt a Husky Harris on social media. That is how you end up with the Fiend, and I ain't messing with no former fat kids who are pissed off. What do you say?

MIKE OSEGUEDA: A Husky Harris, Liz Loza. I like it. I like it. I am also going to with Bray Wyatt. I just don't think-- John Cena comes on wrestling every once in a while, right. You can't let him win. You can't let him beat one of your top guys at WrestleMania and then just go away to make whatever kind of firearm movie he's going to do next or something. Bray Wyatt is going to win. John Cena is going to lose and then go away.

Who wins the Raw Women's Championship? When all else fails in wrestling, I default to the showmanship. You've got Becky Lynch who is one of their best talents, one of their best performers. At WrestleMania, she has to win. Becky Lynch all the way.

LIZA LOZA: Mike, you want showmanship. I mean, biting an opponent's neck until it draws blood. That is what Shayna, the winner of this match, gives you. She's got that MMA background. She was a derby girl like in South Dakota. And fun fact, an [INAUDIBLE]. When you look at her skill set, there is no way Shayna doesn't get nasty and comes down with the victory in this match.

Who wins the NXT Women's Championship? You've got Rhea Ripley or Charlotte Flair. Now, I feel like if Ms. Flair wants to hold all the gold, then she has to beat all of the opponents, even in this Papa Roach loving metal head. So I'm going to give it to Ripley.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: I only have one word in it-- whoo! All the players, all the time. They come to big pay per views, they win titles just like her daddy Ric Flair. I'm going with Charlotte.

LIZA LOZA: So what will Bayley and Sasha Banks do in the fatal five match? Will they help each other, hurt each other, or both help and hurt each other? To me, this is very clear. I mean, "Mean Girls" is so early 00's. 2020 is all about hustlers helping one another. So I think they stay besties.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: You know, Liz, I'd like to see that. However, when the stakes are high, when it's Wrestlemania, when it's every lady for themselves, I think in these steaks, they're going to hurt each other.

LIZA LOZA: Hmm.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: Who's the winner of the Boneyard Match? Undertaker we all know never lost at Wrestlemania forever, has lost the last couple of years. I am predicting the Undertaker comes back with authority. Big win here for the Undertaker over AJ Styles. He has to show that he is not done.

LIZA LOZA: To me this is about spectacle versus skill. Obviously, the undertaker has one of the best entrances in WWE History, but AJ Styles is very popularly known as one of the most skilled wrestlers in the game. I am going to go skill over style in this one and vote for Styles in the upset.

Will Rob Gronkowski interfere with any of these matches? Anyone who knows anything about Rob Gronkowski knows that he has built a career on interfering with everything and anything. So yeah.

MIKE OSEGUEDA: Of course Gronk is going to interfere. The better question is, is he going to interfere in all the matches? With him I think that could happen, but as to the question here, of course he's going to interfere. This is WWE WrestleMania. You don't have him around not to interfere at WrestleMania. And of course when that happens, every person in the world is going to be tweeting about it, writing about it, and it's exactly what they want.

LIZA LOZA: Bring us the content.
