'World famous' Old Trafford waterfall sends fans running as rain deluge hits Manchester United's home
The leaky roof at Old Trafford succumbed to an almost biblical downpour of rain at the end of Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.
To add to another difficult day for United, torrential rain poured into the Stretford End and East Stand as Arsenal fans in the away end sang: “Old Trafford is falling down.”
Sky Sports presented David Jones said: “The Old Trafford waterfall… famous across the world. They have not fixed it yet and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who was here today, can add that to his growing list.”
The heavens opened towards the end of the game, which Arsenal won to ensure the title race will go down to the final day of the season.

Loud thunder was late in the game and videos also showed water pouring in to other parts of the ground.
The leaks were the latest reminder of the need to fix Old Trafford, which remains a storied venue but continues to crumble after years of neglect under the Glazers.

New United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has pledged to spend an initial £237million on infrastructure, including at Old Trafford.
“What would you fix first?” joked Sky presenter Jones. “The team or the roof?!”
