Wolves vs Chelsea LIVE! Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today
Noni Madueke scored a second-half hat-trick as Chelsea crushed Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 away in a frenetic Premier League clash at Molineux on Sunday.
Chelsea's first Premier League points of the season and the first for new manager Enzo Maresca arrived in spectacular fashion as the visitors ripped Wolves apart after the break following an absorbing first period.
Maresca's side led twice in the first half with goals by Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer but both times Wolves deservedly hit back through Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Wolves fell part after the break, however, and Madueke took the game beyond them with three goals in 15 minutes, all of them assisted by the excellent Palmer.
Joao Felix came off the bench to mark his return to the club with his side's sixth goal. It was a ruthless performance from Chelsea, who grew into the game in a fiery game on Sunday.

Maresca responds to Madueke's social post after Chelsea beat Wolves
17:29 , Jonathan Gorrie
Enzo Maresca has insisted he is confident Chelsea’s players know their social media responsibilities after Noni Madueke’s expletive-laden post criticising Wolverhampton.
Madueke’s 14-minute hat-trick in the 6-2 win at Wolves did more to erase his Saturday night Instagram faux pas than the 22-year-old winger deleting the offensive post itself.
The former PSV Eindhoven star posted: “Everything about this place is s***,” on Instagram on Saturday night, referencing Wolverhampton directly with a pin symbol.
He apologised and deleted the original post on the morning of Chelsea’s Sunday clash with Wolves in the Black Country, but was still booed heavily by the home faithful.
Maresca reveals message from Chelsea owners after Blues thrash Wolves
17:11 , Jonathan Gorrie
Enzo Maresca insists Chelsea need time to build a team capable of challenging for top honours – and believes his Stamford Bridge paymasters agree.
Chelsea thrashed Wolves 6-2 for Maresca’s first Premier League win at the west London helm, Noni Madueke claiming a 14-minute hat-trick at Molineux.
New head coach Maresca then reaffirmed the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership’s directions for this season as simply to build the bedrock for future top trophy success.
Maresca is adamant the Chelsea owners know they need stability and consistency over time to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
Madueke underlines importance by setting tone in fiery win over Wolves
16:39 , Jonathan Gorrie
By the time Noni Madueke capped his 14-minute hat-trick, the Molineux faithful might just have been inclined to agree with his previous night’s expletive-ridden appraisal of Wolverhampton.
A tempestuous Premier League clash that was finely poised at 2-2 at half-time was fully settled less than 20 minutes later, Cole Palmer claiming a trio of assists as Madueke swiped the match ball.
When Madueke struck home his third goal to put the Blues 5-2 up with hardly more than an hour on the clock, any worries about the 22-year-old’s misguided Instagram post the previous night evaporated on the blustery Black Country breeze.
Chelsea ratings: Marvelous Madueke silences Molineux in Palmer masterclass
16:16 , Jonathan Gorrie
Noni Madueke’s 14-minute second-half hat-trick sealed Chelsea’s stunning 6-2 win at a worryingly weak Wolves.
Cole Palmer teed up all three of Madueke’s goals and struck a fine effort of his own, with Nicolas Jackson and Joao Felix also on target as Chelsea ran riot for Enzo Maresca’s first Premier League win at the Blues helm.
Here, Standard Sport rates the Chelsea performances.

No sooner had Mario Lemina seen a crisp strike ruled out for offside for Wolves than Chelsea had rasped the ball into the net again at the other end. Former Wolves man Neto teed up Joao Felix for another goal to kill the resolve of both the home team and fans. At 6-2 and with some 10 minutes still to play, Chelsea look determined to keep glossing this already remarkable scoreline.

Wolves have folded in spectacular fashion here. The home side lose the ball particularly cheaply in their own half, and Chelsea punish them with ruthless efficiency. Palmer feeds Madueke – again – and for the third time in the half, the winger beats Sa all ends up. At 5-2 just past the hour, Wolves have to ensure they do not disappear into a damaging void, while the Blues have to wrap up a major morale booster.

Palmer feeds Madueke on the inside right again, and as before he finds the net. This time the finish is crisp with no deflection assist, as he nutmegs Jose Sa. For the first time all afternoon a relative quiet descends around Molineux. Chelsea will hope that the daylight of a 4-2 lead will be enough for a first Premier League win under Maresca. But this match might just have a few more surprises in store yet.

Good thing that Palmer came up trumps with the training ground move then, because in first-half added time, Wolves still find another leveller. Strand Larsen pokes home from close range to delight the home faithful, and add another major incident to an already packed encounter.

Just when Chelsea were starting to fret about holding out until half-time, a training-ground special ends with a fine Cole Palmer finish. The entire Chelsea defence rush to Sanchez to celebrate with the Blues stopper, whose smart ball over the top sent Jackson away down the inside left channel. His quick ball inside allowed Palmer to deliver a first-time finish from fully 25 yards, catching a stranded Jose Sa off his line with a crisp strike to put the Blues back into a 2-1 lead.

The open nature of the game continues apace, and Chelsea ride their luck when Cunha’s deflected shot whips off the bar and over, to safety from a Blues perspective.
Chelsea’s players are starting to focus more on Darren England’s quality of refereeing rather than trying to grab control of this contest. Maresca will be glad of half-time to try to regain some overall focus here.

Cunha has the ball in the net again, and this time he is onside. Rayan Ait-Nouri cut through Chelsea too easily, before finding Cunha, who drilled past Sanchez without issue.
Now level at 1-1, this game definitely has cards of both colours written all over it. Jackson and Lemina clash for the second time after Wolves’ equaliser, with Levi Colwill required to drag the Blues striker away from the fracas.

Wolves have rallied impressively since falling behind, and Matheus Cunha slotted the ball into the back of the net only to be pulled back for offside. Jorgen Strand Larsen laid on that chance, before cutting a neat pass across the box for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, who could only slide wide.
In between, Jackson raced through for Chelsea only to be shepherded out of the equation by Mosquera. An open, engaging game with two teams looking to be direct and decisive.

The Wolves fans had hardly finished booing Noni Madueke when Nicolas Jackson nodded in at the far post to hand Chelsae a rapid 1-0 lead. Jackson then drew the ire of the home crowd too, by celebrating in front of the Sir Jack Hayward stand end. Madueke is being booed non-stop for a misjudged Instagram post, where he used a derogatory expletive to criticise Wolverhampton.
The Wolves fans could hardly be more amped up at this point… but Chelsea now have everything crossed for lift-off in the Maresca era.

Enzo Maresca’s aim to kick-start a new Chelsea era, at least where the Premier League is concerned, rolls on to Wolves after last weekend’s 2-0 home loss to Manchester City.
The injury enforced absence of Romeo Lavia offers a frustrating blow and represents the sole change from that defeat by champions City in west London seven days since. Enzo Fernandez will drop deeper in midfield, with Mykhailo Mudryk stepping into the attacking trio sat behind lone striker Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea impressed quite a few with their display against City, taking the game to the champions before eventually going down 2-0 in front of their own fans. Wolves, meanwhile, struggled to lay a glove on Arsenal but will surely improve in their own back yard.
It should be a fairly tight game, and the Blues have shown they have enough about them to take some points with them back down to London. But the hosts have a fine record against the Blues.

Chelsea could have both Cole Palmer and Joao Felix available for today’s Premier League clash away at Wolves.
Felix joined Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon, arriving from Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of £45million. The forward was signed too late to be involved in Chelsea’s Conference League play-off against Servette on Thursday, which they won 2-0, but he could play this weekend.
Chelsea are travelling to Wolves on Sunday in the Premier League and Maresca is hopeful Felix can play some part. The Portugal international is back at Chelsea for the second time after enjoying a loan spell there during the 2022-23 season.
“If he is available, for sure he can get chances to play,” said Maresca.
Pressed if he thought Felix was ready to go straight into action, Maresca said: “In terms of knowing the way we want to play, probably not yet.
“In terms of physicality, I think he is ready because he was already playing games there [at Atletico Madrid]. So it is just to understand if he needs more time to understand the way we want to play, but overall I think he can play.”
Chelsea made nine changes for their win over Servette and they could make a similar number for the game with Wolves.
Palmer is hoping to play after an injury scare and Pedro Neto could make start against his old club after impressing on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is set to regain his place after Maresca confirmed he would play league matches this season and Filip Jorgensen would start cup games.
Wesley Fofana will hope to return in the heart of defence after missing Thursday’s game because he is being eased back into action after a long time out.
Reece James is suspended even if he recovers from injury in time.
