West Ham vs Manchester United LIVE! Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today
Jarrod Bowen converted a last-gasp penalty to lift West Ham United to a 2-1 Premier League victory over Manchester United in a fluctuating clash between two struggling sides on Sunday.
Crysencio Summerville scored his first goal in a West Ham shirt as they climbed past their visitors to 13th in the table on 11 points after nine games, level with 14th-placed Manchester United.
Bowen netted in the 92nd minute, stepping up to the penalty spot after a lengthy VAR review showed Matthijs de Ligt had clipped the leg of Danny Ings.
West Ham were fortunate not to concede in a first half dominated by their northern rivals and were much brighter in the second before Summerville got them on the scoreboard in the 74th minute when he slid in at full stretch to poke home Danny Ings' scuffed shot.
Seven minutes later, Casemiro silenced the home fans when Diogo Dalot headed across goal from a cross, Joshua Zirkzee helped it on, and the Brazilian midfielder nodded home at the back post.
The travelling supporters' celebrations were short-lived, however, as the visitors could not hang on for a draw.

Ten Hag reacts to Dalot miss in Man Utd's loss to West Ham
18:10 , Jonathan Gorrie
Erik ten Hag refused to blame Diogo Dalot for his miss in the first-half as Manchester United lost to West Ham.
Just how United did not score in a first half during which West Ham were abysmal is anyone's guess.
Alejandro Garnacho hit the crossbar and put a good chance wide, Fernandes headed over and Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford also missed presentable opportunities.
Why Summerville celebrated with Kudus as West Ham beat Man Utd
17:53 , Jonathan Gorrie
West Ham hero Crysencio Summerville has explained why he celebrated with Mohammed Kudus after scoring against Manchester United on Sunday.
The summer signing opened the scoring after coming on as a substitute as the Hammers beat the Red Devils 2-1, thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s controversial late penalty.
It was a much-needed win for Irons boss Julen Lopetegui, who made a raft of changes at half-time following a poor display in the opening 45 minutes.
Lopetegui hails West Ham after beating 'one of the world's best teams'
17:45 , Jonathan Gorrie
Julen Lopetegui hailed the mentality of his West Ham players after they beat Manchester United at the London Stadium.
The under-pressure Hammers boss was delighted by his side’s gutsy performance in their 2-1 victory, praising his players for getting the better of “one of the best teams in the world.”
Ten Hag: Luck is not on my side at Manchester United
17:28 , Jonathan Gorrie
Erik ten Hag believes the decision to award West Ham a late penalty in Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat on Sunday was the “wrong decision” and admitted his side are suffering from bad luck.
United are now 14th in the Premier League as a 2-1 defeat away to the Hammers piled more pressure on Ten Hag.
The game looked set to end 1-1 but Jarrod Bowen scored a late penalty which was awarded for a foul by Matthijs de Ligt on Danny Ings. On-field referee David Coote didn’t give it until VAR Michael Oliver suggested he go to the screen, where Coote then overturned his decision.
Julen Lopetegui vindicated as West Ham respond to manager's big calls
16:38 , Jonathan Gorrie
With 62 minutes gone, all around the London Stadium the words ‘Come on you Irons’ were being chanted with fervour and meaning.
West Ham had been building steadily since returning for the second half. Now, one jinking, jiving run from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and a close effort from Michail Antonio had made the home fans believe something more useful than a goalless draw against Manchester United was possible.

Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by West Ham at the London Stadium as pressure on Erik ten Hag reached new levels.
The Red Devils went behind to Crysencio Summerville’s goal in the second half but fought back to 1-1 thanks to Casemiro’s header.
However, Matthijs de Ligt was then adjudged to have fouled Danny Ings in the penalty area with just minutes to remaining, and Jarrod Bowen’s penalty earned West Ham victory and cost the visitors all three points.

Manchester United 'hold secret talks with managers' about replacing Erik ten Hag
13:30 , Jonathan Gorrie
Manchester United have reportedly held secret talks with numerous managers about possibly replacing Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag remains under pressure at Old Trafford with United languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table and winless in Europe so far this season.
Dom Smith at London Stadium
13:21 , Jonathan Gorrie
Perhaps it’s not too surprising to see Alphonse Areola dropped in goal as Lukasz Fabianski comes into the team. Areola shipped four goals at Tottenham last week and scored a calamitous own goal after a mix-up with Jean-Clair Todibo, who is also on the bench today. Brutal but understandable from Julen Lopetegui.
Erik ten Hag reveals what is really 'holding' Manchester United back
13:20 , Jonathan Gorrie
Erik ten Hag has claimed injuries are “holding back” his side ahead of Manchester United’s trip to West Ham.
United have been without a recognised left-back all season, as well as new signing Leny Yoro, while Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount all missed Thursday’s 1-1 draw away to Fenerbahce.

As such, it cannot be shown live in the UK, given it was originally meant to take place during the 3pm blackout imposed across English football on Saturday afternoons.

Julen Lopetegui sends Mohammed Kudus warning as talks held after West Ham meltdown
12:39 , Jonathan Gorrie
West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui has warned Mohammed Kudus following his red card against Tottenham last weekend.
The Ghana forward was given his marching orders for pushing Spurs stars Pape Matar Sarr and Micky van de Ven during the dying embers of his side’s 4-1 defeat.
West Ham vs Manchester United: Julen Lopetegui and Erik ten Hag look to heal wounds in Premier League clash
12:12 , Jonathan Gorrie
Free from the pressure-cooker environment of sitting in the top job, David Moyes must look on at the situations Erik ten Hag and Julen Lopetegui find themselves in and feel more than a dash of relief at no longer being head coach of either Manchester United or West Ham.
A meeting between the two sides at the London Stadium on Sunday will, more precisely, be a battle between two of the Premier League’s most under-pressure managers.
If the threat of a sacking is more pronounced for the Dutchman than for Lopetegui, then that is only because of how much longer Ten Hag has been in post. West Ham have won just two of eight league matches under their new manager.
Chairman David Sullivan’s decision this summer to hire a head coach of as much renown as Lopetegui to replace Moyes was born of the club’s ambition to kick on after three successive seasons in Europe spent pushing England’s top clubs in the league but with a style of play sometimes deemed risk-averse and, at its most criticised, backward.

Manchester United dealt big injury blow ahead of West Ham trip
11:56 , Jonathan Gorrie
Manchester United have been dealt a big injury blow ahead of their trip to face West Ham.
Antony was stretched off after suffering a sprained ankle against Fenerbahce on Thursday and was later seen wearing a protective boot and using crutches as he left the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
The Mail report that Antony's injury is not as bad as first feared but a timeframe on a return to training remains unclear.
In Antony's absence, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford should again line up on the flanks against the Hammers, with Bruno Fernandes in the No10 role and Rasmus Hojlund leading the line.

West Ham have quite a good record without Kudus, but his absence will be felt, while United may have largely underwhelmed this season they do not concede many on the road.
Lopetegui will clearly demand a reaction and Ten Hag’s side don’t always convince, so a draw does not feel out of the question.
Draw, 1-1.
Manchester United team news vs West Ham today

Bruno Fernandes is available again for Manchester United to face West Ham after missing their Europa League draw with Fenerbahce due to suspension.
Jonny Evans is expected to be available and start alongside Matthijs de Ligt at centre-back at the London Stadium.
“We expect, of course, Bruno back and, hopefully, also Jonny Evans,” said United manager Erik ten Hag.
Lisandro Martinez will continue at left-back, with Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui on the right.
Mazraoui played at No10 against Fenerbahce on Thursday to cover for the absences of Fernandes and Mount.
Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount are all still out.
Antony added to United’s injury problems on Thursday when he went off on a stretcher in Turkey, with the winger seen on crutches.
West Ham team news vs Manchester United today
11:31 , Jonathan Gorrie
West Ham will be without the suspended Mohammed Kudus for today’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.
The forward was sent off during last weekend’s 4-1 loss at rivals Tottenham for clashing with Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr.
Kudus has since been charged by the Football Association (FA) for “allegedly acting in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence he was sent off for”.
Manager Julen Lopetegui has struggled in the opening few months of his tenure and could certainly do with what would be a statement win over the Red Devils on Sunday.
The Irons boss, however, will likely remain without striker Niclas Fullkrug as he continues to try and shake off a calf injury.
