A boy's dedication to his little brother’s baseball dream took an unexpected turn that left them both stunned.

When Sebastian learned his 7-year-old brother, Lucas, was eligible for baseball tryouts, he wanted to help. So, he turned coach, and the boys spent as much time as possible practicing together.

Eventually, their hard work paid off when Lucas made the team.

“Lucas is doing great on his baseball team,” said their mom, Nicky. “He is a main pitcher and plays 2nd base - his first tournament is coming up!”

That was the perfect outcome. But the happy ending had one more twist. Their story generated widespread interest, and when it came to the attention of ESPN, the famous sports broadcast network, they wanted to know more. So, to the brother's amazement, they were asked to appear on TV in an interview.

“It was a very fun and exciting journey for them,” Nicky said. “But what impacted them the most was all the love, support, and encouragement they have received from total strangers.”
