WAFL player's shocking punch to opponent from behind
East Perth forward Agid Gardoud is set to miss just two weeks after this ugly off-the-ball punch on East Fremantle ruckman James Bristow in the WAFL over the weekend.
Bristow delivered a heavy bump on Gardoud, who got to his feet and reacted immediately with a swinging arm from behind, connecting with Bristow's neck.
Gardoud should consider himself lucky as he the match review panel offered him a two-week suspension with an early guilty plea, with the contact deemed intentional, high and of medium impact.
