Volleyball team poses naked with trophy to celebrate championship

An Italian volleyball team have celebrated winning a championship by posing naked with the trophy.

Imoco Volley Conegliano claimed their third Serie A title in four years recently, defeating Igor Novara three games to nil in the championship series.

In a trend that seems be be gaining popularity with sporting teams around the world, the overjoyed players decided to get creative with their celebrations.

They all decided to strip off in the changerooms and pose for photos with the trophy.

They all posed for a group shot behind the trophy, while Joanna Wolosz and Marta Bechis also had individual photos taken.

The cheeky snaps were then uploaded to social media.

“It could not be different! We are champions!” Wolosz wrote on Instagram.

The third match in the series was a nail-biter, going to five sets as Imoco Volley Conegliano won in a tie-breaker.

They absolutely dominated the regular season, finishing nine points clear of their nearest rivals.
