US Open spectator unleashes on former tennis player in ugly crowd scenes
Security had to intervene as the fan became enraged at the former tennis player.
Former tennis player Viktor Troicki has been involved in an ugly blow-up with a US Open fan as the spectator lost his cool in the stands of a qualifying match. Troicki was supporting a Serbian tennis player in the US Open qualifiers when he had a run in with a member of the crowd.
Things turned ugly quickly when the crowd member became hostile and launched a number of foul-mouthed attacks at Troicki. Caught on camera, the spectator could be heard calling Troicki a 'f***ing clown,' before telling him: 'This is New York, not f***ing Serbia.'

At one stage the supporter could be heard denying they were provoking anyone. "We are cheering," the angry supporter said in defence. A security guard goes to intervene as the man approaches Troicki in an angry manner.
The confrontation appeared to start when Troicki reportedly told the supporter to be quiet during the match. Fans on social media weighed-in after the unruly scenes. Many couldn't believe the aggressive nature of the spectator who took aim at Troicki.
Spectators in the video can be heard claiming they had called security extra security to intervene.

The men's and women's qualifiers are currently taking place at Flushing Meadows with the main draw starting on August 28. Carlos Alcaraz will head into the tournament as the No.1 seed, despite falling to Novak Djokovic this week in an all-time classic at the Cincinnati Open.
John Millman leads Aussie qualifying charge
Former quarter-finalist John Millman has led another successful day for Australians at US Open qualifying in New York. Five years after bringing down the great Roger Federer in a fourth-round classic at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Millman has been consigned to the Flushing Meadows back courts to try his luck in qualifying after tumbling to World No.326.
And the 34-year-old put in a huge effort to defeat Chile star Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets. Millman must win twice more to join at least nine other Australians in the men's main draw at the season's final grand slam.
Mark Polman is in line to make the main card draw having come from behind to defeat Nicholas David Ionel. While, James Duckworth also advanced to the next round of qualifying at the US Open.
