Ugandan striker explains why he signed for Sofapaka

2009 Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka have signed top players with an aim of winning the title.

One of those signings is Ugandan striker Omar Kasumba. The former SC Villa striker signed a two year contract with Batoto ba Mungu, and he will be targeting to be the lead striker for the Sam Ssimbwa led side. The experienced man has however, revealed the reason behind his decision.

"I am here to help this team win the championship, and there is a chance for us to do it. Scoring goals is my job, I do not want to say how many but I will hit the back of the net when the chance comes my way. As a matter of fact, there is no team that plays beautiful game than Sofapaka and I am happy to have signed for them," Kasumba told Goal on Friday.

"Sometimes as a player you have to seek new challenge and that is why I am here; the main thing is growth."

Kasumba is expected to lead Batoto ba Mungu's attack against Nakumatt on Saturday.
