Israel Adesanya may have once again stunned the UFC world with a ‘masterful’ performance against Brazilian Paulo Costa, but he has been called out over a ‘tasteless’ post-fight celebration.

Adesanya and Costa entered the fight with bad blood between them after months of trash talk, but the “Last Stylebender” delivered on his promise to make it look easy.

The champion left no one in doubt that he is the best in the middleweight division after picking apart the hitherto undefeated hulking fighter with ease.

But some fans were left disappointed after Adesanya’s celebration immediately after his TKO victory.

As Adesanya pummelled Costa on the floor, referee Jason Herzog jumped in to stop the fight.

But the champ, fighting out of New Zealand, made a ‘hump’ gesture on top of Costa as the ref waved off the fight and tried to get between them.

Despite the apparent bad blood, the celebration was labelled “disrespectful” to a downed and clearly hurt rival.

The celebration could well keep the feud alive for Costa, who could seek a rematch down the road.

But Adesanya has already set his sights on his next opponent.

“I already DM’d Jared Cannonier. He’s a hell of a dude. I love his energy. He’s a beautiful man,” Adesanya said.

“I said you destroy Robert Whittaker and you’re next.”

The win was the ninth straight in the UFC for Adesanya, the Nigeria-born, New Zealand-based phenomenon who has soared to prominence in mixed martial arts over the past three years.
