UFC fighter suffers scrotum injury in freak accident

A young UFC star has suffered a sickening injury that will see him sidelined indefinitely.

Bryce Mitchell, 23, suffered a scrotum-related injury in a freak incident while away from the UFC octagon.

Mitchell explained what happened on social media, and stressed that he was serious about the injury and that his post was not a joke. (It does contain some NSFW language though)

According to Mitchell, he was working with tools and holding a drill between his legs when it “went off” and tangled his scrotum.

He was able to reverse the drill, but realised he had ripped his skin in the process.

He added that he obviously couldn’t post a picture to prove the injury, and that he would need some time before he began training again.

Mitchell did not provide a timetable for his return.

For those who doubted the story, Mitchell also posted a picture of his blood-stained boxers as proof on the injury.

That post is both NSFW and disturbing. We’ll link to it, but you’ve been warned.

When Mitchell is able to return, he’ll look to build on his impressive 10-1 record as a mixed martial artist.
