'Cashing checks': Aussie stuns UFC world with devastating knockout

Aussie fighter Jamie Mullarkey has stunned fans after notching his first win in the UFC after a stunning 40 second knockout.

Mullarkey was coming off two losses into his fight against Khama Worthy at UFC 260.

The Aussie opened the main card and there was fireworks immediately after Mullarkey dropped his opponent with a stunning left.

After ducking and weaving his way into distance, Mullarkey caught Worthy with a left on the chin.

Worthy staggered for a moment before a delayed face plant.

Mallarkey jumped on his opponent, before the referee intervened to call an end of the match.

Fellow Aussie and featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski was quick to praise his teammate.

β€œIt feels unbelievable,” Mullarkey said after the fight.

β€œWe worked so hard for this fight. I’m glad I just finally got to showcase my skills.

The main event of UFC 260 was between Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and contender Francus Ngannou.

Ngannou knocked out Miocic in the second round to become the heavyweight champion.
