LAS VEGAS — The two top fights for UFC 310 are official, but not all of Saturday's 14-fight lineup emerged from Friday's official weigh-ins unscathed.

Up-and-coming welterweight Bryan Battle missed weight by four pounds, tipping the scale at 175 pounds for his pivotal bout against Randy Brown (171), which opens UFC 310's late preliminary card. The miss marks the second time in Battle's career he's missed weight for a UFC fight. He previously missed in May 2023 against Gabriel Green; Battle won that fight with a 14-second knockout.

At light heavyweight, one-time title challenger Anthony Smith initially missed the 205-pound limit by 1.25 pounds for his clash with Dominick Reyes. Returning for his second attempt, "Lionheart" made weight (205.5) in the final five minutes of the weigh-in window. Smith hasn't missed weight since his middleweight tilt opposite Adlan Amagov in a November 2011 Strikeforce appearance, the lone miss of his 58-fight career.

The headliners had no problem Friday morning. For his first flyweight cut since March 2017, Japan's Kai Asakura came in at 124.5 pounds for his 125-pound title match. The champion, Alexandre Pantoja, hit the same number.

In the co-main event, welterweight contenders Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Machado Garry each weighed 171 pounds. The winner is expected to get a title shot against champion Belal Muhammad.
