UFC 299 faceoff video: Dustin Poirier, Benoit Saint Denis all business
MIAMI – The UFC 299 main event won’t be the only five-round fight Saturday at Kaseya Center.
In the co-main event, fan-favorite Dustin Poirier battles rising French star Benoit Saint Denis in a 25-minute lightweight contender fight.
Following the conclusion of Thursday’s pre-fight news conference, Poirier (29-8 MMA, 21-7 UFC) and Saint Denis (13-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) came face-to-face for the first time. The mood was serious and intense with Poirier receiving a large ovation from the crowd in his adopted state of Florida.
