Tyreek Hill releases statement regarding investigation into child battery
Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill broke his silence in a case involving battery involving a juvenile, after the Johnson County District Attorney’s office said it will not pursue charges.
Hill said in a statement, via Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star, that he loved and supported his family, and his son’s “health and happiness is my number one priority.” He also thanked the Chiefs for their support.

While Hill won’t face charges, the NFL has yet to weigh in.
The investigation into Hill didn’t result in charges though the DA said the child was injured.
“We believe that a crime occurred,” DA Steve Howe said Wednesday. “However, the evidence in this case does not conclusively establish who committed the crime against this child … We feel we’re at an impasse at this point, and any further investigation would be unnecessary or unwarranted.
“Like a lot of crimes, it’s a ‘whodunnit.’ And in many times with child cases, the children can’t necessarily speak for themselves. So that becomes a very difficult situation.”
Hill came into the league with a controversial past. He pled guilty to domestic battery in 2014, after he was accused of punching and choking Crystal Espinal, who is now his fiancee.
