Two snags for the price of one: Dunn's Higgins horror show

Richmond young gun Jack Higgins kicked two goals in 30 seconds after being decked by Collingwood’s Lynden Dunn while celebrating his first major of the big MCG clash.

Higgins, nicknamed ‘Snags’ for his excited comments during a post-game TV interview, collected a ball over the top to put the Tigers in front late in the first quarter but his fist-pumping celebration wasn’t appreciated by Dunn.

The former Melbourne defender sent his 19-year-old opponent flying with a big shoulder-to-shoulder bump, giving away a free kick just outside the goal square.

Jason Castagna and Jack Riewoldt came to the defence off Dunn, sending the Magpies player to the ground, but the umpire stayed with his original decision and Higgins kicked truly.

Riewoldt sent a mouthful Dunn’s way before and after his teammate’s second goal, and the battle continued as Dunn clashed with Richmond forward a few minutes later.
