A 35-year-old man was also earlier charged with affray over the alleged brawl. The man was granted conditional bail to appear before the same court on June 7.

The charge comes only months after Kent was found not guilty at a court hearing of allegations he choked and assaulted his on-again, off-again girlfriend.

Outside court, Kent told reporters the verdict was “vindication” and the allegations had been a “setback”, having been stood down during court proceeding.
