Is time running out for Postecoglou?

The adoration of Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham is about as predictable and stable as his team's results and performances.

Against Chelsea, they were brilliant at the start and bizarre by the end. It is sad to see 'Angeball' suddenly looking so naive when the system breaks down or - more specifically - when the constant high-octane effort needed for it to work blows a gasket.

Postecoglou needs a squad with the depth and energy of Chelsea's to play his style in the Premier League. I am pretty sure he has figured this out by now - he isn't dim - so what should he do?

‌He can ask for more intensity from the players, but though they will give him it most of the time, they clearly can't always do so.

Can he change his method? Absolutely not - he has underlined that this particular red line will never be crossed.

‌Can he wait for squad reinforcements next season that might allow his plans to work? Maybe he can but the club and the fans may not be so patient, especially if they linger too long where they are right now in the bottom half of the table.
