Tim Tszyu's thunderous KO rocks the boxing world: 'Murderous'
The raw power of Tim Tszyu was on display as he made short work of Mexican challenger Carlos Ocampo.
Tim Tszyu has once again thrown down the gauntlet to longtime antagonist Jermell Charlo after a stunning first-round knockout win over Carlos Ocampo in Queensland on Sunday. Tabbed as a 'dangerous' fight for Tszyu to accept by promoter George Rose, the Australian proved he's a class above by ending the fight within the first 90 seconds.
Right from the get-go, Ocampo found himself on the back foot, wearing several bruising blows that wobbled the 27-year-old Mexican fighter. Impressively, he kept his feet and fended off more crushing blows from Tszyu, only to be floored by a devastating left from Tszyu.

He beat that count, getting up only to face more punishment from the determined Aussie. Ocampo would last only a few seconds longer before a devastating left brought proceedings to an abrupt halt.
There will be no denying Tszyu's claims for a bout against Charlo, the undisputed light middleweight world champion who has held the title since 2019. After the bout, Tszyu made no bones about who he would be coming after next.

“I’ve got a question for everyone here: What’s my motherf—ing name,” Tszyu said afterwards. “Errol [Spence Junior beat Ocampo] near the three-minute mark and I didn’t it a bit earlier. I beat you there Errol.
“America is the land I want to conquer, it’s where I am going next. I want the name Charlo on my resume.
"Let’s dance in October. No disrespect. Let’s dance. You and me. I’m coming back with four belts.”
Meanwhile, boxing fans on social media were stunned by the sheer ferocity of Tszyu's victory, leaving many salivating over the looming showdown between he and Charlo. One fan said it was as though Tszyu had 'concrete in his gloves', such was the power he showcased.
Statement made. Tszyu blessed he got his daddy's power. Heavy hands man. He got two fights in before this Charlo fight. Its gonna be a good one when they finally fight.

It was a well and truly comprehensive defence of the interim WBO belt he obtained with a savage ninth-round stoppage of American Tony Harrison back in March. Incredibly, it was less than a month ago that Tszyu was rushed to hospital for surgery after being bitten by a pit bull belonging to one of his friends.
Tszyu and Charlo will now be ordered to square off for the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF super-welterweight belts before a September 30 deadline in Las Vegas. Charlo hasn't fought since fending off Brian Castano in May last year.
The pair had already been slated to fight earlier this year, but an injury to Charlo during his training camp ended those ambitions. The fight against Ocampo was the second Tszyu has accepted in the meantime, his stunning win over Harrison the other.
