Tigers' Andrew Romine drug tested after first grand slam
Tigers utility player Andrew Romine hit a game-winning grand slam Wednesday to beat the Twins.
It was Romine's first grand slam and only his seventh homer in an eight-year big league career.
Naturally, MLB requested that Romine submit a blood sample for its drug testing program immediately after the game, according to multiple reports.
Andrew Romine confirms that he was in fact selected for a random drug test immediately after the game. He gave blood, then did interviews.

Romine credited the power surge to adrenaline. No word on the results of the blood sample.
For the record, MLB's testing program is random.
