The Killers confirmed for AFL grand final gig
American rock band The Killers have been confirmed for the AFL grand final on October 1, with Australians Mike Brady and Dami Im also set to perform.
The Las Vegas band, famous for hit songs Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me, will perform before the game and at a free concert afterwards.
Dami Im, who finished second at Eurovision last year, will sing the national anthem after Brady sings his footy classic Up There Cazaly.
The Killers will also play songs from their new album titled Wonderful Wonderful.
"I'm so pleased that The Killers have agreed to play on that one day in September as fans of all ages enjoy their music," AFL boss Gillon McLachlan said.
The announcement caps off a big week for entertainment in Australia after the NRL confirmed US rapper Macklemore would entertain fans at their grand final on September 30.
