Michael Clarke is reportedly set to make his first public appearance with new partner Pip Edwards at The Everest racing event on Saturday.

Clarke and Edwards have been dating for a number of months after the former Australian cricket captain split with wife Kyly earlier this year.

While Clarke and fashion designer Edwards are clearly an item, posting a number of photos with each other on social media, they haven’t been seen at a public event together.

But according to the Daily Telegraph, they will appear for the first time as a couple at Royal Randwick this weekend.

Clarke and Edwards will reportedly spend the day with his Big Sports Breakfast radio colleagues in The Grandview Restaurant at the world’s richest race.

Michael and Kyly Clarke announced in a joint statement in February that their seven-year marriage was ending, but they remained committed to co-parenting daughter Kelsey-Lee.

“I think I’m extremely lucky to have been able to go through a separation with the mother of my child and us still be great friends,” Clarke said on KISS 1065 in July.

“I actually think Kyly and my friendship now is as strong as it’s ever been.

“We still talk daily and I think you’ve heard Kyly say as well both of us will always prioritise our daughter and a big part of that is a friendship between mum and dad.”

The cricket great said he and Kyly were fortunate to have had several months to adapt to life apart, before news of their split was made public.

“We were lucky in a sense that we went through our separation five or six months before it touched the media so that allowed us the time to deal with (it),” Clarke said.

“Like any break-up it’s always tough, so thankfully we were able to do that before it got out to the media.

“There’s a lot worse things in life. We’ve got a great relationship, a beautiful little girl and we move forward.”

Clarke had earlier opened up about how he and Kyly makes things work with Kelsey-Lee.

“The one thing Kyly and I will always do is prioritise our little girl,” Clarke told the Daily Telegraph.

“Kyly is a great mother. When you see our little girl, you see the way Kelsey-Lee is, that’s because of her mum, there is no doubt about it.”

The 39-year-old said his respect for Kyly and Kelsey-Lee made him unwilling to talk publicly about his new relationship.

“I have always tried to keep my personal life as private as I possibly can and right now is no different,” he said.

The 40-year-old Edwards has 12-year-old son Justice Maximus with designer Dan Single.

Clarke played 115 Tests and 245 one-day internationals for Australia, scoring over 17,000 runs at international level.

He has since forged a successful career in the media, while Kyly was one of the new judges on Channel 7 renovation show House Rules this year.
