Tenth Super Eagles cap excites Troost-Ekong

Williams Troost-Ekong is pleased to make his tenth appearance for Nigeria in Thursday’s friendly against Senegal at the Hive Stadium in London.

The Gent central defender played full throttle as Kelechi Iheanacho's 83rd-minute penalty saved the Super Eagles from their first defeat under Gernot Rohr after Moussa Sow's strike minutes after the restart had given Aliou Cisse's men the lead.

The former Netherlands youth international made his national team bow against Chad in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in 2015. He also commended the fans for their support during the during the game.

 “Thanks for your great support! Good fight from the team for the draw. Proud to have played my tenth cap for Nigeria,” Troost-Ekong tweeted.
