World's biggest tennis players dwarfed by true giant
Roger Federer may be a giant of the tennis world but meeting Yao Ming has put his actual stature in perspective.
Federer, no shorty at 1.85m (6ft 1in), encountered China’s former NBA star at the Shanghai Masters this week.
Keep in mind Yao stands at 2.29m (7ft 6in) and is currently listed as the 31st tallest person on the planet.
The 34-year-old retired from basketball in 2011 after succumbing to foot and ankle injuries but has certainly not shrunk since giving up the game.
And it wasn’t just Federer getting in on the action, with Novak Djokovic also taking the opportunity to stare skyward at the ex-Houston Rockets centre.
See the results for yourself.
