Bouchard's hilarious dad text after sizzling SI shoot
Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has revealed a hilarious text message exchange with her father regarding her sizzling Sports Illustrated photoshoot.
The 23-year-old recently revealed on Twitter that she'd be featuring in Sports Illustrated once again in 2018, after a successful debut last year.
The Canadian had seemingly asked for her dad's approval for the steamy shoot, from which she's shared a number of images and videos.
2 years in a row!!! 😳😳😳
Thank you @mj_day @darciebaum and the whole team at SI, love you guys & all the craziness we get up to. So grateful for your love ❤️🙏🏼 #SISwim pic.twitter.com/gBEeh7oOS3— Genie Bouchard (@geniebouchard) February 13, 2018
Thankfully, she got the big thumbs up, along with a funny message from her father, who admitted it was "strange" to see his daughter in the racy shoot.
Sooo Dad approves... thank god 😅😂 @SI_Swimsuit pic.twitter.com/C2IC9bMkE8

“You know its a bit strange for a dad to see his daughter half clad in a magazine," the text read.
"But its done so tastefully. I’m proud of you. Well done!”
She seemed relieved, as her tweet reads "Sooo Dad approves … thank god."
Bouchard was also featured in the issue last year, where she admitted she'd been practicing the shoot in her bed.
"I do have to say I practiced a little bit on my bed, asking myself 'if I was on the sand right now how would I pose and what would I do,'" she said at the time.
This time around, she’s joined in the edition by one of her opponents, Sloane Stephens, and Olympic gold-medalist Aly Raisman.
Meanwhile, another feature of Bouchard's recent social media activity could spell bad news for the 'random Twitter fan' who she's been dating for the past year.
Along with an image from her SI shoot, she wrote a caption revealing she is indeed single, despite her long relationship with the Twitter fan.
"So I’m discovering Valentine’s Day is a lot less fun when you’re single. Trying to counter all these couple posts with a highly single post," Bouchard wrote.
That news will be a dagger to the heart of American college student John Goehrke, who became known as the 'luckiest man in the world' after he convinced the tennis glamour girl to go on a date with him after a Super Bowl bet backfired in 2017.
Since then they've been spotted together on multiple occasions, including at Super Bowl LII a few weeks ago.
While at the event, the pair conducted a Q&A on the NFL Canada Twitter account, answering a number of questions from fans, including whether or not they're actually dating.
However Bouchard left fans hanging when her response was cut short, pretty intentionally by the looks of things.
Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, our Q&A with @geniebouchard & John has ended. 🤷♂️ #SuperBowlDate

But now, the truth has been revealed.
A number of big name athletes have featured in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, including golf glamour girl Paige Spiranac.
