Kyrgios, Dimitrov and Nadal spearhead Sunday at Aus Open

Aussie firebrand Nick Kyrgios steps out onto Rod Laver Arena on Sunday night as he faces world No.3 Grigor Dimitrov from 7pm AEDT.

Kyrgios prevailed 3-6 6-1 6-4 when they met at the Brisbane International semi-final two weeks ago, but Dimitrov was the victor in their two prior encounters.

Second up on court Sunday night, the tournament’s fourth seed Elina Svitolina takes on Czech Denisa Allertova.

Allertova who won their only previous clash, which came in 2016, in straight sets.

World No.1 Rafael Nadal will battle Argentinean 24th seed Diego Schwartzman in an afternoon match.

That will come after a highly anticipated women's match between world No.2 Caroline Wozniacki and Slovakian 19th seed Magdalena Rybarikova.

Men's sixth seed Marin Cilic will take on Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta during the day.

There will also be plenty of Aussies in action in the doubles.
