Sock hilariously hijacks Federer interview

Jack Sock avenged his early loss to Roger Federer at the ATP Finals in London by hilariously trolling the Swiss star during his post-match analysis.

Federer had just cruised into the semi-finals of the ATP World Tour Finals unbeaten after downing Marin Cilic in three sets in their Wimbledon final rematch.

'DEFIES LOGIC': Former tennis star hails clever Federer tactic

The 36-year-old, who also accounted for Sock earlier in the group stage of the tournament - was in the middle of an interview with Sky Sports when he got an unexpected interruption.

From out of the corner of the screen, Sock walked right into shot during the middle of the broadcast as Federer was breaking down his performance against Cilic.

Presenter Mark Petchey saw Sock coming from behind Federer's back and stopped the 19-time grand slam champion mid-sentence, to notify him of the intrusion.

Federer turned and burst out into laughter at the site of Sock, who was wearing Kansas City Chiefs gear that he'd scored from NFL UK earlier in the day.

"Hey it's Jack! What's up?" Federer asked as he spun around in surprise.

"I never realised! This is how crazy we are these days."

Federer's 6-7 6-4 6-1 victory over Cilic set up a semi-final encounter with David Goffin after the Belgian stormed past Dominic Thiem in straight sets.

The Belgian, who was soundly beaten in his previous round-robin match by group winner Grigor Dimitrov, had a shaky start, losing the first three games, but lost only two games after that in the entire match as he romped to victory in 71 minutes.

"It was a pity to play against Dominic, he is such a good friend and a nice guy. It's never easy to play against a friend," said Goffin, who beat world number one Rafael Nadal over three punishing sets in his opening match.

"After the first match against Rafael I wasted so much energy, I was not ready for Grigor, but I had a good rest yesterday and was ready for today and I hope I can do the same for the semi-finals," he added.

The seventh seed admitted Federer, gunning for his seventh end-of-year title, would be a tough opponent on the indoor hard court at London's O2 Arena but said he had "nothing to lose".

Goffin, 26, looked out of sorts at the start of the match, being broken to love in his first service game, but reeled off 15 points in a row to change the complexion of the match completely.
