Genie Bouchard ditches tennis racquet for a golf club

Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has shown off her more than handy golf skills, swapping sports with Michelle Wie for a day.

Bouchard and Wie teamed up for a promotional shoot for Nike, swapping their respective tennis racquets and golf clubs.

As you can see in the video above, Bouchard is quite capable with club in hand, nailing some fairly respectable drives with Wie looking on.

"How's my swing? @themichellewie taught me," she wrote on Instagram.

"Better swing on you than a professional athlete," wrote one follower.

Another offered a tip: "Bend your knees a bit."

A third wasn't that impressed but praised her looks: "Your swing is terrible but you look like an angel playing golf."

27-year-old American golfer Wie said the whole shoot had a 'Britney Spears vibe' as the two stars rocked midriff tops and skirts.

Bouchard and Wie have suffered similar form slumps in recent years, with the Canadian tennis star knocked out of Wimbledon in the first round.

The 23-year-old was beaten by Petra Kvitova in the 2014 final at the All England Club and reached No.5 in the world that year but currently sits 61st in the rankings.

Wie similarly won the 2014 US Open but has struggled to recapture that form since, battling a number of injuries recently.
